“Over the past few years Lyn has evolved into a club that pays more attention to the goalkeeping function than most and have ultimately established a dedicated Goalkeeping unit.
The process starts at Lyn Akademiet offering dedicated goalkeeping classes for our 7-12 year olds four days per week, then our Youth Department has groups for goalkeeping where the coaches further educate and train also using the “Lyn Keepermetodologi” for continuous feedback and encouragement. Further, the doors to our senior teams are kept open and presents a viable path for our young and eager goalkeepers.
For the men Henrik Nymoen and Elias Theophilakis are great examples of this, as are Margaux Lægreid and Mari Hasselknippe for the women. The process of honing the skills of our young talents takes time, and we aim also to recruit goalkeepers with profiles fitting the club and addressing the club’s competitive reality and ambitions. On this backdrop we are very excited to have Karen Sneve joining us, already an established player on the U19 National team and in the 1st division, she has fast shown great promise in her eagerness to learn and develop.
Karen, Margaux, and Mari spearhead the women’s goalkeeping in Lyn oozing with potential and dedication. With the help of Damelagets team of goalkeeper coaches, Joaquin de Dominicis and Nils Martin Corneliussen, and an extremely talented squad of players and devoted coaching staff, these women will take noteworthy development steps and help Lyn achieving its ambition this season in Toppserien.” avslutter Pedro.
